   Beekeeping in the American Revolution

               with Christi Henthorn

Master Beekeeper Christi Henthorn of Wuerker Bee Apiary in Oxford started keeping bees in 2014 and currently runs about 25 hives. A Medical Laboratory Scientist from Wisconsin/Alaska, she has served as President of the Granville County Beekeepers Association from 2016-2025, as well as teaching Bee School for 8 years. Christi and crew and full steam ahead for the 10th Bee Jubilee which you can swarm to the 4th Saturday of every June to shop small, local and celebrate pollinators!  Christi has also been serving as Regional Director for the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association for the past 5 years.

 Christi is all about education and Products of The Hive - you can catch her on the weekends at local markets and festivals where she sells local honey and so many beeswax products - candles, ornaments, and beeswax based home and body products too!
