GCBA’s Beginner Beekeeping Academy is a hands-on introduction to honey bees, hive management, and safe, responsible beekeeping.

Program includes: 

• Two in-person class days featuring multiple lessons taught by experienced beekeepers, each bringing their own expertise and real-world knowledge. Part 1: February 13, 2027 Part 2: February 27, 2027
• Light lunch and snacks provided on both class days.
• Includes one year of membership in the Granville County Beekeepers Association (GCBA).
• Course concludes with the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association (NCSBA) Certified Beekeeper Written Exam, included with your registration. Optional Test Days: March 4th, 2027 or March 20th, 2027
• Optional workshops & field day for hand on learning. Schedule pending.
